Welcome to ROCV’s website

ReachOut Crest View (ROCV), Crest View Elementary School’s parent-teacher organization, is chartered to raise funds to support academic enrichment, scholarship needs and capital improvements, provide activities and events to develop and strengthen the school community, and sponsor periodic forums and events for parent education on issues related to elementary education and children.  This is ROCV’s website where you will find up to date information on what’s going on at Crest View and how you can be a part of it!

Looking to get involved but don’t know how?  The volunteer positions listed below are available for the 2018-19 school year.  Please email chair@rocv.org if interested or if you have any questions.

Grocery Card Coordinator – We are looking for someone to shadow the Grocery Card coordinator the rest of this year and transition into taking over the program 2018-2019. The program takes relatively little time commitment and has the potential to be a really big money maker for the school! Please contact Stephanie Spier if interested at stephaniespier@gmail.com

Grounds Day Beautification Coordinator –  Want to contribute to the Crest View community, but can’t commit to a regularly recurring role? Not a problem, this position is for you! We are looking for someone to work with Hollene to coordinate our Fall & Spring Crest View Clean Up days. Help coordinate the planting of spring flowers, wood-chip replenishing, garden cleanup and more – once in the Fall and again in the Spring. You’ll plan for each event (purchase resources, organize volunteers and help determine what needs to get done). You don’t need a green thumb, just a passion for keeping Crest View beautiful! Spirit Gear Coordinator – We are looking for someone to take over coordinating Spirit Gear.  You will order gear, fill orders, take end of year inventory and coordinate a table for live sales at the Fall festival and the Spring Fling.  Time commitment is 1-2 hours per month.  For questions contact Mollie McCaig molliemccaig@yahoo.com

Garden-to-Table Help – Do you love our Garden-to-Table program? Our Garden to Table chairs are looking for some people to be part of their core team of volunteers to help with the Garden-to-Table functions such as: planting support, harvesting support, Farmer’s Market support.  Be available to help instruct volunteers during these activities.  If interested please contact Sarah Boyd saboyd818@gmail.com or Claudia Thiem thiem.claudia@gmail.com

Partnership Co-Chair – Can you think of awesome companies in our community that might want to partner with ROCV and support Crest View? Our Current Partnership Chair is looking for a someone to work with her and share the load.  Help recruit partners, hang banners 3-4 times per year and share logos throughout the year.  Most of the time commitment is in the late summer and early Fall.  For question contact Gwen Appel gwendolynappel@gmail.com

Fall Festival Shadow  Do you love the Fall Festival? Our current Fall Festival Chair is graduating next year.  We need someone to shadow her next year and take over the following year.  Time commitment; a few hours of email work in the Spring and August, and coordination the week of the festival in September. Talent Show Shadow – Are you passionate about supporting young performers? Our current Talent Show Coordinators are looking for someone to shadow and learns the ropes to take over the Talent Show.  Time commitment in March and April.  For questions contact sarah@sarahtownes.com



Grocery Card Program

Want to know the easiest way to contribute to Crest View? ROCV is happy to introduce the new Crest View Grocery Program. Order a free $5 re-loadable grocery card from either King Soopers, Safeway or Lucky’s. Reload the card to pay for groceries at check-out, and the grocer will donate 5% back to Crest View (Lucky’s will donate 7%)! This is a very easy way for families to contribute to Crest View without spending a penny. A small change at the check-out line  could make a big difference for our school!
